SD EX-STANDARD is a series of SD model kits created in 2015, originally intended for exclusive sale outside of Japan. However, it was introduced in Japan in the summer of 2016. The interesting thing about this series is that parts of the SD model kit (mainly weapons and accessories) can be used to create a super-duper cool weapon for the same HG scale Gunpla.
