Gundam – HGUC 1/144 FD-03-00 Gustav Karl Type-00

The HGUC FD-03-00 Gustav Karl Type-00 1/144 by Bandai Spirits recreates the Gustav Karl Type-00, one of the most imposing-looking Mobile Suits from Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway.

With its enormous bulk, heavy armor, and distinctly military design, this kit is perfect for those looking for a Gunpla with an imposing presence and an aesthetic far removed from the more stylized Gundams.

🟡 A true tank on legs

The Gustav Karl stands out for its robust construction and heavy Mobile Suit appearance.

Its thick armor, large shoulders, and enormous legs give it a very characteristic silhouette, perfectly conveying the sense of a machine designed to withstand and advance under enemy fire.

The Type-00 version maintains this formidable appearance and recreates its various mechanical details in 1/144 scale.

🦾 An enormous presence in 1/144

Although it is an HGUC, the Gustav Karl has a considerable presence thanks to its proportions and volume.

The kit uses multiple parts to recreate the different sections of the armor, with surface details that give it a particularly mechanical look.

Articulation allows the arms and legs to be placed in different positions and create combat poses, while its large feet provide good stability.

🔫 Armament

The Gustav Karl Type-00 is equipped with armament intended for Mobile Suit combat:

• Beam Rifle
• Beam Saber
• Shield

The rifle can be held with interchangeable hands, and the shield can be mounted on the arm to reproduce different configurations.

🛡️ Military design

One of the most attractive features of the Gustav Karl is precisely its appearance.

It doesn't seek the elegance of a traditional Gundam: its large armor plates, shoulders, and limbs convey the feeling of a heavy, functional military machine.

It is also a fantastic kit for applying panel lining, painting, decals, and weathering techniques, especially if you want to give it an even more used and realistic appearance.

🧩 HGUC Technology

The kit belongs to the High Grade Universal Century line, using Bandai's well-known Snap-Fit system.

The parts are designed to snap together, so no glue is needed.

The color separation allows for achieving the basic look of the Gustav Karl directly out of the box, while the different panel lines add depth to the finish.
